In order to make your trip a complete success, you’ll need to check all the right boxes. Here are some things you’ll want to keep in mind during the planning process:

• Choosing a date – Not only do you want to ensure that you can snag a spot, but you also want to make sure you can do all the activities you want to when you visit. Birchcliff is open from April through October, so your trip can revolve around the activities you want to enjoy while you’re here. If your family loves swimming and spending time outdoors, a summer visit may be a great fit. If you prefer cooler fall weather, September or October might be an ideal time to come.
• Researching options – it’s a good idea to consider your family’s needs, how many rooms you will require, how many people will be staying, and which layouts or styles will work best for your group. Birchcliff offers a variety of cabins, so you’ll be sure to find something that suits your family.
• Packing essentials – We provide plenty of amenities, but don’t forget to pack personal items, clothing, outdoor gear, swimsuits, and anything else you might need.
• Arriving – It’s important to keep track of check-in times, especially if you’ll have family arriving from all over. At Birchcliff Resort, our check-in time is 4 to 9 p.m. CST. Check-out time is at 10:30 a.m. CST. If you’d like to check in earlier than that time, requests may be made the day before or morning of your arrival date and, if at all possible, will be granted.
• Meal planning – With an on-site kitchen at your disposal, you can cook just about anything you want. Make it fun by having different family members prepare a meal, creating themed nights, or even holding a cook-off. Whatever you choose, it’s a great way to bond and spend quality time together.
• Picking activities – While Birchcliff Resort has plenty of activities for the whole family, don’t forget to leave some time to explore nearby attractions. Enjoy rock climbing, tubing, waterparks, zip-lining, horseback riding and more all near our resort.

Pets are welcome to visit, but are only allowed in designated pet-friendly cabins. Advance notice is required and there is a $50/night fee per pet.

Yes! There is a grocery store and laundromat less than two miles away in downtown Wisconsin Dells. There is also a Walmart less than six miles away.

Depending on your needs, you might want to consider bringing additional coffee, creamer, sugar, paper towels, and napkins. Some other items that you may want to bring include beach towels and lawn chairs.

Not all of our cabins have individual firepit areas. In the main campfire areas, there are fires held nightly for all of our guests, free of charge. There are additional campfire areas located near the cabins and behind the pool house that can be reserved for a $35 fee by guests who want an intimate experience. If you are interested in reserving one for your stay, be sure to reach out.

For guests who stay five nights or more, housekeeping will come in every third day to vacuum, clean the bathroom, and change the linens. Extra towels are provided in each cabin and we’d be more than happy to supply more upon request. Additionally, there are garbage and recycling stations conveniently located throughout the resort.
